Uranus in your solar fifth house of love and creativity is guaranteed to up-end some of your established attitudes about love, dating, romance, The One, pregnancy, contraception, children, child-raising, adopting, fostering and step-parenting. He’s not making any direct links to Mercury who is also here until 9 May, but I suspect you can feel him making mischief in the background! There is lovely aspect for you to enjoy Date Night (whether you’re single or attached) on 3 May – you think alike, make each other laugh and enjoy each other’s company. If kids are on the agenda, you can talk about it easily now. But on 5 May, you seem disappointed by the attitude that a long-standing friend is taking towards your love life or parenting skills. You may distance yourself from this person now or alternatively, you may be sad that you have to let them down.

You may finally feel like you’re slowly getting somewhere at work thanks to Mars going direct in your solar tenth house of career last month on 13 April after being retrograde since 24 January. It will take him until 20 June to fully retrace his steps so many Sagittarians will spend May trying to regain lost ground in terms of progress with your projects, bosses, employees, clients and company profile but just watch: June will get even busier. Nevertheless, you should circle 16 May as a powerhouse day to pitch yourself and new business to the executive suite – you’re on fire!

You’ll be aided by the Sun in your solar sixth house of work and health until 21 May, joined by Mercury on 9 May and Jupiter all month. You become aware of a work and/or health issue which you cannot ignore any longer on the Full Moon of 6 May. If there was a day to quit smoking, take up exercise and eat your veggies, this is it! You can gain the support and imagination of your family or housemates if you begin a diet – or create a home office – on 10 May. They want to help!

But you’ve got to circle 13, 14 and 22 May. These fantastic dates are a triple Earth sign treat centred around your livelihood which support your income, earning more commission, getting a raise or bonus, launching effective new processes and projects, hiring staff, seeing headhunters, improving your office space, impressing your boss, getting a promotion, winning acclaim and recognition for your efforts. You’re positive, hardworking, insightful and enthusiastic now so please maximize these dates! All that grinding-your-nose-to-the-wheel is paying off, with everything starting to fall into place.

Venus entered your solar seventh house of relationships on 3 April and she won’t leave until 7 August. She wants you to be happy and with the right person so to help you make sure, she will test your feelings by going retrograde from 15 May through to 1 July. You can guarantee that old issues will come up again for resolution; many of you can assume that you will be hearing from exes, some of whom want another chance, others who just want to know what they did wrong. If you’re currently single, you may want to stay that way til early July: relationships begun under a Venus retrograde are less than ideal and rarely last. Saggies in relationships may notice that their partner does a bit of a disappearing act, in mind if not in body. Many Archers will postpone their engagement or weddings now. A wise old friend will give you the perspective you need about your partner (or lack of one) on 17 May.

Venus is joined by the Sun and Mercury on 21 and 25 May respectively. Your relationship could be undermined by one or both of your families on 23 and 25 May. Perhaps you’ve just got guests staying then which is blocking you from being with each other, or you’ve become disenchanted with the problems of a certain family member who is sucking your energy dry. A flatmate who’s under the influence could ruin any romantic moments then, too. You may upset your partner with news of a late night at the office, one-too-many-overtimes or a business project which is encroaching on your quiet time on 30 May.

The best two days this month for discussing everything with a partner, including some of your more surprising ideas about love are 27 and 28 May. You’re excited, inspired and thrilled to be with each other now – many couples could fall back in love again now.
