Happy birthday Taurus! You have a lovely month in store with the Sun and Mercury joining Jupiter in your solar first house of personality until 21 May and after 9 May respectively. The only cloud – well, moon! – on the horizon is the Full Moon of 6 May. This points to a final decision being made about your relationship (or lack of it). You may end a stale situation or decide to start dating again, to get engaged, set the wedding date, or perhaps get some marital counseling if necessary.

Your friends are enormously supportive and sweet on 10 May, a lovely day for a party which features wine, candles, a glamorous air and dancing! You feel a wonderful sense of confidence, optimism and enthusiasm for what life holds on 13 and 22 May. It feels like the world really is your oyster! Speaking of which, on the next day on 14 May you may decide it’s time to regenerate yourself (and maybe add some sexy spice to your relationship) with an adults-only interstate or overseas trip, or perhaps to add a(nother) diploma or degree after your name by going (back) to university. Mars remains in your solar fifth house of love and creativity so you’ll obtain enormous enjoyment from beavering away on a favourite hobby, organising a party for loved ones, having romantic dates, spending time with kids or trying to get pregnant (that’s the fun part) with 13 and 16 May being wonderful for this.

Mercury is in your solar twelfth house of secrets with Uranus until 9 May. Since it IS your birthday month I rather suspect someone close is planning a special event for you which you may uncover on 3 May via an email, phone call or comment, or that you accidentally discover a birthday gift that someone has bought for you. Birthdays aside, your coworkers seem to be grumbling about your absences from work while those of you with employees may find they’re being less than responsive on 5 May. Some of you may experience a twinge of an old injury or illness then so you might want to book a doctor’s appointment for the following week.

You may receive a surprising amount of birthday money, gifts, special offers, discounts, mates’ rates, and other goodies with Venus in your solar second house of income all month joined by the Sun from 21 May and Mercury from 25 May. Taureans are famously conservative with their money and you may make a plan for your extra birthday cash and/or a new personal-year budget for yourself from the New Moon of 21 May.

However, Venus does go retrograde on 15 May-1 July. This six-week period indicates you could be spending up big on clothing, beauty, entertainment and dating, making quite a dent in your bank balance. There is also the possibility of you buying things that you change your mind about and want to get refunded, including gifts that people have given you.

You may ask for (and receive) work perks that could have been promised some time ago on 17 May which is also ideal for contacting headhunters you’ve met before and for making an offer to an employee you may have interviewed previously. You’ll be in the mood to update your financial situation from the New Moon of 21 May and this would be an ideal time to create a new 12-month budget. If you have friends who are perpetually broke, borrowing money, and who tend to “forget” to repay you, they could be particularly frustrating on 23 and 25 May. You may get some surprising financial news, even receive an insider’s tip on 27 and 28 May. Watch out that your kids and/or lover don’t create a fuss when you refuse to fund their latest hobby on 30 May.
