You may be unfairly reminded of a debt you owe someone, which could be financial, but which may be also sexual, emotional, social, psychological or physical. This is the worst day ever to co-sign a loan with a partner (business or romantic) as it is likely to lock you into one with punitive rates for many years.

The first half of May is beautifully starred for a holiday with the Sun in your solar ninth house of travel until 21 May, joined by Mercury on 9 May and Jupiter all month. You may be busy getting everyone’s destination, sight-seeing, hotel, and airline seat preferences (or the paperwork) finished on the Full Moon of 6 May. You could have one of the happiest, most romantic breaks with your partner on 10 May and if you’re a singleton, the start of a glorious holiday romance (even if it’s in your home city). What a lovely cosmic recipe for a honeymoon!

Make a long weekend of it and you’ll love, love, love going away on 13 and 14 May. A two-day break now will make you feel like a million dollars! You feel inspired, and full of beans, willing to try anything! Your mojo will go up to eleven, with 14 May being a stellar day that may change your life in some way, but especially in relation to love, children and fun. Life is quite wonderful for you now! You even get to heavenly double-dip, with another fantastic aspect that supports a wonderful holiday on 22 May. If jumping on a train, plane or cruise ship is not on your personal horizon, you may instead use 13, 14 and 22 May to explore a legal contract, publish an important blog post or printed article, launch a website, magazine or book or to apply to go (back) to university. Fortune smiles upon you now.

You feel extra invincible with Mars in your solar first house of personality. He gives you physical and psychological muscles you never knew you had, making this a great time to face off with bullies, join a gym and go after what you what without a moment’s hesitation. If love – and/or children – is what you desire – your wish is his command on 16 May. A thrillingly visceral love-at-first-sight moment is possible today, as is pregnancy!

You may have noticed that you’re putting more effort into your appearance, particularly your business wear now that Venus has joined your solar tenth house of career for a four-month stint. You may have also noticed that it really pays to send thank you emails/calls/cards etc following a business meeting – good manners are free, the results: priceless. Venus goes retrograde from 15 May to 1 July which may coincide with a period when a popular and/or good-looking superior or industry VIP disappears for a while from your circle. You may find it a little harder to use your charms to win meetings and favours now. However, you may be invited to events from old bosses and mentors – do accept! – as you ponder what roles wuld make you happiest. You may be tantalized with a wonderful offer which you cannot accept or start until early July.

The Sun and Mercury will join Venus in the planetary boardroom from 21 May and 25 May respectively. Past favours may be repaid via a wonderful, higher-paying job, bonus, commission, or client on 17 May. You could win new clients with a classily presented pitch today – trust, longevity and credibility will win you their business.

If you’re in the market for a promotion, it may happen as early as the New Moon of 21 May, but you should watch for progress in the four weeks that follow. This is your time to shine, to raise your profile, to be taken seriously as a player. This is NOT the time to hide your light under a bushel as you so often do! However, your partner (business or romantic) is unlikely to give you a straight answer regarding your promotion or intended career change on 23 and 25 May. They may not even realize they’re upset about it, but your eagle-eyed Virgo radar never misses a beat. Do they fear it’ll become a never-ending routine of overtime and business intruding on your private time together? If you’re single and meet someone rather attractive on those days in a business setting, then take your time – there’s something you don’t know about them.

On 27 and 28 May you may have a brainstorm, present the most amazing idea, meet a truly talented industry individual, have a successful appointment with a headhunter, explain clearly to your boss why exactly you deserve that promotion, plan your own business launch or get your company profiled in the media. If you want a quick decision and are willing to consider unusual alternatives, these are your days! Just don’t schedule anything important for 30 May when you’ll be a little too keen to put your view across, to the extent that you unwittingly offend someone senior and/or important.
