Most Capricorns are unfairly compared to Monty Burns from The Simpsons – and it’s months like these when that sort of makes sense! One of your favourite hobbies is working out how to make money from other people’s money and August will be great for that with the Sun in your solar eighth house of shared resources until the 23rd, preceded by Venus until the 7th and Mercury until the 11th.

Start rubbing your hands! You’re due to receive dividends, a (larger) contract from a client, debt repayments, tax refunds or bonuses or to take part in an employee share scheme on the New Moon of the 1st, 5th, 9th and 21st, with a particular new start to your wealth from the start of the month. Since shared resources also means any kind of resource that can be shared so apart from $$$$$, these days could also be good for intellectual property, erotic moments (the eighth house does correlate to sex), the (powerful) people you know and even psychic ability that can give you useful insights.

Awkward Neptune aspects point to getting your wires crossed in relation to money on the 6th, 15th and Full Moon of the 16th. Listen to your intuition then and ask for more (concrete) information if someone, or a plan, seems somewhat dodgy. Something won’t be quite right then.

Interstate or overseas travel, university or legal matters are likely to loom large in your plans as well this month with a massive five planets in your solar ninth house of travel, higher education and law. These include Mars until the 20th, Venus from the 7th, Mercury from the 11th, the Sun from the 23rd and Saturn – your ruler – until October 2009. You’ll probably be trying to work out how you can combine work and travel – an overseas trade expo? Visit to your client’s foreign operations? – with all this emphasis. If you want to enrol in a tertiary course, jump on a plane for more exotic climes or get the best deal with a lawyer, select the 13th, 15th, 17th (in the morning) 18th, 21st and New Moon of the 31st.  However, beware of crazy legal advice or a spur-of-the-moment travel begun on the 6th and 23rd, and possible nasty arguments with a foreigner on the 17th (from lunchtime), 28th and 29th.
