“I’m the king of the world!” OK, forget one of the most cringe-making lines in movie history (made, incidentally, by Scorpio Leonardo diCaprio) but fame or a much higher industry profile could be yours this month with the emphasis in your solar tenth house of career. With Venus here until the 7th, Mercury until the 11th, and the Sun until the 23rd, you’ll be extraordinarily keen to raise your profile, receive well-overdue recognition, and consolidate your position.

As soon as the New Moon of the 1st you’ll get an insight into your pecking order at work and how valued you are. Feeling under-valued? Meet executive recruiters, look for career opportunities, make better use of LinkedIn and other professional networking websites, and pitch money-making ideas to your boss on the 5th, 9th and 21st. If you’re your own boss, these are excellent days to gain prominence in the media. However, your future moves could be misinterpreted by well-meaning family members on the 6th, 15th and Full Moon of the 16th.

The other major theme for you this August is your friends. You have a whopping five planets in your solar eleventh house of friends and group activities which means you could have mates popping out of the woodwork to catch up with you. You’ve got Mars here until the 20th, Venus from the 7th, Mercury from the 11th and the Sun from the 23rd plus the Zodiac Policeman, Saturn, patrolling here until October 2009.

The 13th, 15th and 21st point to productive nights out with long-time and/or much older friends (perhaps you meet useful contacts?), while the 17th (in the morning) and 18th are great for a laugh. If you’ve wanted to expand your social circle, any of these dates are great but look especially to the New Moon of the 31st for meeting someone you click with friend-wise right away. Speaking of clicking, there is also the possibility of you falling for one of your friends romantically (or vice versa) or of a friend match-making you on those days. However watch out for some stormy moments with your mates to do with love (on the 6th and 23rd) and money (on the 17th and 29th). Regretfully decline invites for then, if possible.
